This Author Interview is the third in the "Innovations in Hepatitis Elimination" series, a collaboration between the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) journal, Clinical Liver Disease. Dr. Cave and colleagues recently published the article, "Working Toward Elimination of Hepatitis C: The Kentucky Hepatitis Academic Mentorship Program" in the September issue of Clinical Liver Disease. You can read the article here: https://aasldpubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/cld.1028.
Dr. Ward, Director of the Coalition, will speak with Dr. Cave about the origins and design of the KHAMP program, the impact of KHAMP on scaling HCV treatment to date, and how this innovative training model can be scaled to other contexts.
